About Auspice (READ THIS FIRST)

Auspice was formed in early 2009 by a group of long-time Carbuncle natives. We are a bunch of people who like each other and have liked each other for years. We don't whine (well, in linkshell), and we don't lootwhore. We do play hard and we do respect each other--and also we like good stuff.

Beginning September 1st, we will have "mandatory" events three nights a week during the week and also on weekends. These will be the same types of events we have been doing as "optional" events for the past several months. They will include sky, sea, limbus, ZNMs, and occasional low-man events like ANNMs and ENMs. For people with high attendance at these events, we will allow the occasional use of points to buy "free nights," on nights when we might not need a full alliance.

Auspice has partnered with a new Dynamis shell called FiveMagics. Attendance at Dynamis is optional, but members will be awarded points for Dynamis attendance and are highly encouraged to attend. FiveMagics runs Dynamis on Mondays and Thursdays. For Auspice members who are not interested in Dynamis, those evenings are open for Salvage, Nyzul Isle, or other low-man events (missions, capping buffers, etc.)

While we certainly like people who like their epeen, we'd rather not have members who flash theirs around. We're a low-key, cooperative group who prefers to remain drama-free and friendly. To this end, we do have a points system based on attendance, which we use to determine priority for lotting. This system is also used to determine bank splits when applicable.

Our points system is primarily based on attendance at linkshell events. However, for people who form statics that benefit multiple linkshell members we also provide activity and initiative points.

Bottom line: we really like self-starters who work for what they want and like to help other people do the same. We'll get you goodies. To this end, we will require that you make Auspice your social shell as well as your endgame shell. While we understand that people may have developed close friendships with their previous shells, we'd like you to do the same with our people.

Right now we're particularly short on support jobs. If you enjoy playing WHM, RDM, or BRD and would like a NoEmoNP game experience while still actually getting stuffs, please PM either Lycidia or Buggaton (you can /tell also, but we're often pretty busy when online so we can't always give you the attention you deserve). We are both often available during the day on MSN or AIM, so drop us a line!
